Authentication and User
Yes, imc express is designed so that all employees can access and use the cloud service. The number of simultaneous accesses to imc express is determined by the imc express version you have purchased.
The minimum term for an imc express account is 1 year. The most favourable for customers and therefore recommended is a term of 3 years. After that, the imc express contract will automatically continue to be renewed unless the contract is cancelled in good time.
To release your licence for other users, we recommend closing the browser window. Alternatively, you can actively log out.
If you are inactive in imc Express (no mouse movement) you will be logged out automatically after one hour.
Your licence will then be released automatically (after 10 minutes at the latest).
This (still) works for certain functions, but it is not advisable, as it is technically and also licensing-wise not intended that a user is logged into the system more than once. In future, it will no longer be possible for the same user to log in more than once at the same time.
Users can authenticate themselves using various methods. Among them are: Microsoft Login, ILS Login, Google Login or even Facebook Login.
Only authenticated users can log in to imc Express. Login is therefore preferably via Single-Sign-On (SSO via OpenID). In the rare cases in which SSO is not possible, imc manually records the users in question and then the login can take place by entering a user name and password.
Authoring
You can use images from the media library provided, but also images directly from your computer. To do this, simply drag and drop the graphic files into your story.
Data security
imc Express uses 256-bit TLS/SSL encryption and at least 2048-bit RSA encryption to protect data. This technology is used to encrypt network traffic between all services used.
All data stored with our cloud provider (data@rest) is encrypted using AES-256, a secure encryption protocol that provides a high level of security.
For more information on security, please check the "Security Policy" document here.
Data processed by ExpressGPT is submitted via the OpenAI API.
This data is not used by us or openAI to train OpenAI models or to improve OpenAI's service offering.
Our imc Express software has been developed from the ground up with a strong focus on data protection to ensure the privacy of our users. This means that both Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default are implemented in our software.
Privacy by Design has been integrated into the development process of imc Express by taking data protection measures into account from the very beginning. This means that data protection aspects such as data security and transparent data protection guidelines have already been taken into account in the design of the software.
In addition, imc Express also takes privacy by default into account, which means that privacy-friendly settings and measures have been implemented by default. Our software is configured to automatically protect users' privacy and users do not need to take any additional measures to protect their privacy. This ensures that our users' privacy is respected from the outset and their data is safe and secure.
Functions
Yes, you can upload your own videos to the media library and use them in your projects. imc Express will automatically create subtitles for you and translate them into all the languages you need.
When importing Powerpoint, all texts are extracted from the Powerpoint and included in your imc Express project. Elements such as charts, tables and graphics are not included.
Please note, however, that you can easily import individual graphic elements of your slides or even entire slides via the clipboard at any time.
You can import content from Word documents or PowerPoint documents into your imc Express project via the user interface or simply by dragging and dropping.
Furthermore, you can easily insert data from various sources into your project via the clipboard.
You can delete elements via their context menu. However, to delete elements, you can also use the keyboard shortcut displayed in the context menu at any time.
This shortcut is also a very good way to quickly delete many elements in succession.
When importing a Word document, the structure of the entire document is analysed and taken into account during the import.
Therefore, all headings, text and also images are imported.
Specific elements of a Word document, such as tables or smartart, may be ignored and skipped during import.
The import of documents is limited to a maximum file size of 500 MB. In addition, documents with more than 10,000 words will not be imported.
Interactions
Currently, it is very easy and quick to create questions with single and multiple answers (multiple choice / single choice). However, imc express is constantly being developed further more interaction types are already planned!
There are several ways to make imc Express content interactive.
These include single choice / multiple choice questions, flipcards, hotspots in images and the link functionality via which you can, for example, link to or embed videos, or link to or embed other external content.
Languages
Every project in imc Express can be automatically translated into other languages. Please select the tab 'Languages' in the project settings, specify the required languages and put them in the desired order. The main language for the project must always be at the top.
The contents of your imc Express project are automatically translated into all project languages in the background. More than 75 languages are currently supported in imc Express, including German, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese and Russian. (To name just a few ;)
The complete list of all languages and speakers can be found here.
The user interface is currently available in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Dutch. We are working on adding new languages on an ongoing basis.
There is no need to select the language in the user interface. The language that is stored for your user is automatically used. If a language is stored for your user that is not yet supported by imc express, the interface of imc express will be displayed in English.
Layout and design
imc express tries to present the content as balanced as possible. The presentation depends primarily on the hierarchy of the elements, but also on the order and, for example, the amount of text to be presented. Here, imc express delivers great results and will become better and better as this smart presentation is continuously improved. Furthermore, in one of the upcoming versions there will be the possibility to explicitly 'keep' content together and mark it as belonging together.
Yes, this is possible. To do this, you can define any background images at the level of a heading (H1, H2 or H3). These are used 'smart' and automatically within the corresponding chapter of imc express.
imc Express offers you a carefully curated selection of fonts that are specifically tailored to the requirements of our users. These fonts have been selected to ensure optimal readability and excellent design in your projects.
Please note that adding your own fonts is currently only possible under certain circumstances. By focussing on a selected range of fonts, we can offer you a consistent user experience as well as stable and reliable functionality.
The following fonts, among others, can currently be used in imc Express: Lato, Arimon, Noto, Montserrat, Open Sans, Poppins.
Legal information
No, this is not possible. imc Express is a standard product for which the same contractual conditions apply to all customers.
You can find a detailed explanation here.
No service level agreement is concluded for the use of imc Express.
All information about the imc Express Service Level can be found here.
Media
The software's automatic object recognition is predefined and not adaptive. If the object recognition should ever fail to recognise an image sufficiently, you can always help yourself by adding your own tags or deleting tags.
Since the number of available graphics can become very large, there are several ways to organise them. These include filters on graphics from certain projects, your own graphics, but also graphics that have certain tags. Professional tip: Your graphics are automatically tagged when imported into imc express and you can also edit and expand these tags yourself. These tags make it immensely easier to find the graphics you want.
Project organisation
To do this, go to the project settings and enter the e-mail address of the desired participant. If this user is also a valid imc express user, from this point on the project will also be visible to this user and can be edited.
Please contact the product support for imc Express. We will be happy to assign the administrator role according to your wishes.
