imc Express is an application that allows you to create content for the web and other media. It makes it easy to create digital files in a variety of formats, such as websites, documents and learning formats.

The output of this content is generated automatically and optimised for an appealing appearance. How the content and texts are formatted depends on the length of the text and the size of the space in which it is displayed.

To make this possible, the size of the text used (based on each individual character of the defined font) is calculated and saved in advance. In this way, the text is displayed with the same precision in every output format and on every device. It is important that the client also has the same font for this to work.

To ensure that the client has this font, it must also be supplied.

Fonts included in imc Express

imc Express offers a comprehensive mapping of Unicode characters to the corresponding characters in different fonts - a must for every language, as regions such as Japan and China can display the same Unicode characters differently. This complicated mapping is essential in order to deliver texts that are as accurate and visually appealing as possible, regardless of the language or region.

The fonts included in imc Express are therefore optimized for the worldwide use of your content.

Licence terms and restrictions

Many common fonts (such as Arial, Helvetica and Times New Roman) are subject to specific licence conditions that restrict the way in which they may be used and distributed. Based on these licence conditions and restrictions, imc Express provides defined fonts that comply with existing licence conditions and can therefore be distributed legally.

Use of own fonts

If your company uses proprietary fonts, we offer you the option of integrating these into imc Express under certain conditions. The prerequisite for this is that your company owns all rights to the font in question and can grant us permission to pass on and distribute the font.

Please clarify in advance with your legal department whether the licence conditions of your font permit such use and redistribution.

If it is legally permissible, we will probably be able to implement your font technically and make it available to you as part of customised themes.
